Do you recognize the Beast?

In Rev 12 we first see the great wonder in heaven, namely the true apostolic church of God, the one clothed in redemption by Jesus Christ, the sun. Because of that her members are no longer under the condemnation of sins by the law, which is the moon, namely the moon that brings to light everything hidden in the spiritual darkness of night. This woman, the church, is a great wonder in heaven on earth, namely since she appeared on earth exactly as foretold in Holy Scriptures, which heaven symbolizes. The crown of twelve stars on her head symbolizes the true apostolic gospel, taught by the twelve stars, and the head on which the crown is set is Jesus Christ. This is the true meaning of what the woman symbolizes.
After some time there appeared in heaven on earth another sign (semeion) that was not a great wonder but instead a fallen anointed cherub who opposed and keep opposing God and His true church. He is mentioned in Rev 20:2 in these words:

And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

 Quoting: the Bible

What Rev 12:3-4 reveals is that the dragon would successfully deceive a lot of people and bring about the foretold total falling away through his false doctrines, for the tail of the dragon symbolizes false teachers of every kind. Reading Isa 9:15 we learn what head and tail symbolize in prophecy:

The elder and the honorable man, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.

 Quoting: the Bible

The dragon’s tail therefore symbolizes all false prophets, preachers, and teachers combined who are imbued with the spirit of the Antichrist, which is the spirit of the dragon or Satan. As the Antichrist is said in 2 John 1:7 to be many deceivers put together and nevertheless described to be just ONE, so is the dragon’s tail also a composite of many false people.

For many deceivers are gone forth into the world, even they that confess not that Jesus Christ cometh in the flesh. This is the deceiver and THE ANTICHRIST.

 Quoting: the Bible

In John 9:4 Jesus revealed that there would come a night when no man can work, so, since man can work in the darkness of a literal night, we ought to understand that the night which Jesus meant, would be spiritual, namely the total falling away of the apostolic church:

… the night cometh, when no man can work.

 Quoting: the Bible

Therefore, the third of the stars of heaven which the dragon cast to the earth were the last third of the true apostolic church, also symbolized by the three thirds of destruction described at the sounding of the first three of seven trumpets in Rev 8.
When this happened the biblical time reckoning of the beast’s “forty and two months” long rule (Rev 13:5) started to run. I will, therefore, now expound what that beast is, for the prophetic secrets that Rev 12:5-13 continues to reveal have relevance to the end time of the beast. The main part of the time reckoning of the beast’s rule belong between Rev 12:4 and Rev 12:5, though not mentioned in that chapter, for only when the dragon had cast down to the earth the last third of God’s church he was in position to give his power to the beast, as we can see when we read Rev 13:2:

and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority.

 Quoting: the Bible

What is called the beast in Rev 13 is in fact the fourth beast in Dan 7:7, on the first head of which would grow up ten horns, though not said in the book of Daniel, and which according to Dan 7:19 would later therefore be diverse from the three former beast at the coming of the little horn mentioned in Dan 7:8. These prophetic secrets we are now going to look into.
The fourth beast – which would later be diverse from the other beasts – is the Roman Empire. What John sees coming up out of the sea is the Roman Empire in its process of changing and becoming diverse from the three former beasts.
John sees first ten horns coming up, and the spirit of prophecy reveals them to be the last ten emperors of a still undivided Roman Empire. Among these ten horns there would come up a little horn, as foretold in Dan 7:8:

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.

 Quoting: the Bible

Take notice of the prophetic fact that “three of the first horns” are not among the beast’s ten horns, and the reason is that those three horns were plucked up in order that the little horn could come up among the ten horns of the beast, as seen in Dan 7:8, and rule among the ten horns and also after them, as said in Dan 7:24:

And as for the ten horns, out of this kingdom shall ten kings arise: and another shall arise after them; and he shall be diverse from the former, and he shall put down three kings.

 Quoting: the Bible

The little horn would be diverse according to prophecy, and that is exactly why the Roman Empire would also change to be diverse from former empires at the little horn’s becoming its ruler. As you all know, Constantine I forbade pagan sacrifices and gave freedom from persecution to Christians after becoming the sovereign emperor of the Roman Empire. He also took steps to let St. Peter’s basilica be built, which became the church of the pope. These things he could do only as a sovereign ruler, after three horns had been defeated and plucked up, namely Maxentius, Licinius, and Maximinus Daia. So now we see who the ten horns were, and that they were the last ten emperors of a still undivided Roman Empire. Their names are as follows: (1) Constantine (307-337), (2) Constantine II (337-340, (3) Constans I (337-350), (4) Constantius II (337-361), (5) Julian (360-363), (6) Jovian (363-364), (7) Valentinian I (364-375), (8) Gratian (367-383), (9) Valentinian (375-392), and (10) Theodosius I (379-395).

In 393, two years before his death, Emperor Flavius Theodosius (Theodosius I) divided the Roman Empire into two parts. After that it never became one again. When the western part of the empire finally fell apart there was a already come up a little horn who gained power after the will of the dragon. This is the story on the ten horns of the Roman Empire and the Pope.

Before I go on with my exposition on Rev 13 and the beast in that chapter I need to say quite a few words ultimately bearing on the little horn. In Dan 7:6 the third of four beasts, which symbolizes the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great after his death, is described as a leopard:

After this I beheld, and, lo, another, like a leopard, which had upon its back four wings of a bird; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it

 Quoting: the Bible

Since the Greek Empire, which is the third beast seen by Daniel the prophet, is described here, like the beast in Rev 13, as a leopard, though as one having four wings and four heads, we understand that the description relates to the Greek Empire as such after the death of Alexander himself.

In Dan 8:4-8, on the contrary, the Greek Empire or Macedonian Empire is described as a he-goat having a great horn. That great horn is Alexander the Great. As foretold in prophecy Alexander pushed eastward against the Persian Empire, whose two horns were Media, the smaller one, and Persia, the greater one, and conquered the Persian empire.

I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; and no beasts could stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and magnified himself. And as I was considering, behold, a he-goat came from the west over the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. And he came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river, and ran upon him in the fury of his power. And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with anger against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns; and there was no power in the ram to stand before him; but he cast him down to the ground, and trampled upon him; and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. And the he-goat magnified himself exceedingly: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of heaven.

 Quoting: the Bible

When the he-goat’s great horn was broken with the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BC his empire was divided into four smaller ones that the four wings and the four heads of the leopard sym¬bolize. Cassander was the head ruling the western part, Lysimachus the head ruling the northen part, Ptolemy the head ruling the southern part, and Seleucus head ruling the eastern part of the divided Macedonian empire after Alexander the Great. In Dan 8:8 we hear what then happens:

the great horn was broken; and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of heaven.

 Quoting: the Bible

Take notice of what is said, namely that the four parts or horns leaned towards the four winds which signify the west, the north, the south, and the east, and that it is from the wind of the west that a little horn comes and NOT FROM WITHIN THE WESTERN PART of the divided empire, as many false teachers erroneously teach. Let us read Dan 8:9-12:

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the glorious land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and some of the host and of the stars it cast down to the ground, and trampled upon them. Yea, it magnified itself, even to the prince of the host; and it took away from him the continual burnt-offering, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. And the host was given over to it together with the continual burnt-offering through transgression; and it cast down truth to the ground, and it did its pleasure and prospered.

 Quoting: the Bible

Since the little horn is said to wax exceeding great toward the east and the glorious land we know that he moves from the wind of the west toward the western part of the divided Greek or Macedonian empire. Since we know that from the beginning the little horn comes up among the last ten emperors of a still undivided Roman Empire we know also that the little horn symbolizes the Roman Catholic Church and the pope. With his church the pope made the false claim to be first among all the churches in Christendom. In that way he became the first head of the beast in Rev 13. It was this little horn’s rule the last ten emperors paved the way for, and because of that they constitute the beast’s ten horns and are part of the beast’s first head, the false Catholic Church. As “the elder and the honorable man” the pope is called the head, but, alas, being unfortunately one of the heads of the beast!

The elder and the honorable man, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.

 Quoting: the Bible

The Catholic Church with all her popes and lies included is part of what the Scripture signifies as Babylon, so, therefore, she will be judged according to the following words by Jeremiah the prophet (Jer 51:9), which bear on all the fallen away Christianity:

We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country; for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.

 Quoting: the Bible

Babel in OT scriptures symbolizes together with Babylon in NT scriptures both the wordly powers that are involved with the harlot in Rev 17 and the harlot herself, for together they constitute the beast that comes up out of the sea, as foretold in Rev 13. What the sea symbolizes we find in Isa 57:20:

But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it cannot rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.

 Quoting: the Bible

When the beast comes up out of the sea, i.e. out of the wordly element, it brings with it mire and dirt that symbolize lies against and twistings of Holy Scripture.
I will now illustrate how the pope reveals himself to be imbued with the spirit of the Antichrist. In the year 1285 AD Filip IV le Bel became king of France. In those days the pope was Boniface VIII. When in 1296 the pope through his papal bull forbade preasts to assist wordly rulers economically, be it of their own accord or to comply with a demand from their ruler, he also claimed that such assistance would violate the church’s exemption from taxation. This papal bull Filip IV le Bel did not like, asking how the pope could forbid preasts to help the ruler defend their country. The pope claimed that the world dominant Catholic Church had only one head since it was no two-headed monster, and that that one head on earth was the vicar of Christ, the Holy Father of Rome. As such the pope claimed to have two swords, one spiritual and one secular. The secular sword could be used by wordly rulers but only in accordance with papal will. He also claimed that whoever wants to be saved must obey the Holy Father in Rome.
What the pope’s claim reveals is that he contradicts the words of Jesus Christ, as quoted in John 18:36:

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world.

 Quoting: the Bible

Since Jesus Christ says Himself that His kingdom is not of this world, there is no need for His people to have a secular sword at their disposal. In contradiction to the so-called Holy Father, that stupid pope, Paul the apostle writes the following words to the congregation in Corinth (2 Cor 10:4):

(for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds), casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

 Quoting: the Bible

There is not even one kingdom on earth that belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ, as revealed in Mat 4:8-9:

Again, the devil taketh him unto an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him ALL the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and he said unto him, ALL these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

 Quoting: the Bible

With this biblical fact in mind we may now go on looking into what Rev 13 reveals on the beast having seven heads and ten horns. What the ten horns are is now revealed to us, so now can instead look at the seven heads of the beast. What are they? Everyone of you readers ought to know that these secrets are hidden behind the seven seals of the book described in Rev 5:1-3:

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the back, close sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a great voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no one in the heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look thereon.

 Quoting: the Bible

What is said to be written on the back of the book symbolizes the literal text, and what is written within symbolizes the true meaning of that text. What nobody was found worthy to open and read in the book, even among those in heaven (fallen away Christianity), was the text written within as the true spiritual meaning of the outer or literal text. So will anybody at all be given the right to open and read the book?
The answer is yes, and in Rev 10:8-10 John the apostle symbolizes that person foretold to come, being one of the two foretold witnesses in Rev 11:3:

And the voice which I heard from heaven, I heard it again speaking with me, and saying, Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel that standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. And I went unto the angel, saying unto him that he should give me the little book. And he saith unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but in thy mouth it shall be sweet as honey. And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and when I had eaten it, my belly was made bitter.
